HYROX returns to Singapore Expo on 29–30 November 2025, bringing two days of high-energy racing that blends endurance running with functional strength workouts. Participants will face the signature format of 8 × 1 km runs, each punctuated by a workout station. With solo, doubles, and relay categories, HYROX is open to all levels — from first-timers to elite athletes.
What is HYROX?
HYROX is often called the “World Series of Fitness Racing.” It’s a standardized global race format where your performance in Singapore is directly comparable to competitors in New York, Berlin, or Sydney. The race consists of 8 × 1 km runs combined with the following workout stations: SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, and Wall Balls. Because the format is the same worldwide, HYROX maintains global leaderboards, age-group comparisons, and a World Championship series.
HYROX Singapore 2025: What to Expect
The Singapore edition takes place at Singapore Expo over 29–30 November 2025 as part of the Urban Sports + Fitness Festival. The indoor venue allows spectators to follow the entire event with clear visibility, making it one of the most exciting race atmospheres in the city. With the growing popularity of HYROX, this edition is expected to attract record numbers and may become one of the biggest fitness races in Asia.
Registration for HYROX Singapore is now open, with options for solo, doubles, and relay teams. A new Flex Add-On allows athletes to change or cancel closer to race day, giving more flexibility when committing to the event. All participants receive a finisher patch, their results posted to the global leaderboard, and age-group awards or potential qualification for the World Championship in Pro divisions.
Training and Preparation
Preparing for HYROX requires a balance of endurance and functional fitness. Focus your training on the following:
-
Endurance & Pacing: Practice running 1 km intervals at sustainable speed, as these repeats define the race.
-
Functional Strength: Train with sled pushes, sled pulls, rowing, burpees, and wall balls to mimic the actual stations.
-
Hybrid Workouts: Mix running with strength circuits so your body adapts to quick transitions.
-
Core & Mobility: Build injury resilience and stability through core training and stretching.
-
Climate Acclimatisation: Even indoors, Singapore’s heat and humidity can affect performance, so train accordingly.
For gear, athletes should bring grippy shoes for sled work, lightweight clothing, and any personal support items like wrist wraps or hydration belts if permitted.
Race-Day Experience
Athletes will compete in designated lanes within the expo hall, moving from running tracks to workout stations under the roar of cheering spectators. With hydration zones, merchandise booths, recovery areas, and entertainment on-site, HYROX Singapore feels like a festival as much as it is a race. The format ensures that whether you’re competing or spectating, the experience is fast-paced and full of energy.
