Post Event: AirAsia Kallang Run 2025 — A Celebration of Fitness, Fun, and Community

The first-ever AirAsia Kallang Run wrapped up in spectacular fashion at the Singapore Sports Hub, bringing together thousands of runners, families, and fitness enthusiasts for a morning of movement, music, and meaningful memories.

Runners Take Flight

Participants took on either the 5 km or 10 km non-competitive categories, enjoying a scenic route that wound through the Kallang Basin and past iconic city landmarks. In true AirAsia spirit, many runners showed up in aviation-themed outfits — from pilot hats to cabin crew uniforms — with some even vying for the coveted Best Dressed award. The vibrant costumes added color and character to an already lively race.

The Carnival Atmosphere

Crossing the finish line was only the beginning. At the OCBC Square Race Village, runners and supporters were treated to a carnival-style celebration. Flight-themed games, stage performances, and live music kept the energy high, while AirAsia cabin crew entertained the crowd with a special showcase. Lucky draw winners walked away with flight tickets to destinations such as Fukuoka and Cairns, making the day even more unforgettable. Families lingered over food stalls and kid-friendly activities, ensuring that the event had something for everyone.

More Than Just a Run

Organised by Kallang Alive Sport Management with AirAsia as title sponsor, the event celebrated the heritage of Singapore’s first airport at Kallang while promoting active lifestyles and community spirit. Beyond the medals and finisher T-shirts, the greatest takeaway was the atmosphere of togetherness — strangers cheering one another on, families running side by side, and a crowd that stayed long after their race to celebrate.

A Promising Start

With its successful debut, the AirAsia Kallang Run has set the stage to become a staple in Singapore’s sporting calendar. By blending fitness with festivity, it showed that running events can be more than just a race — they can be a carnival of connection, culture, and joy.
